COURSE DESCRIPTION

History of Christianity in America-Part 2 builds on the solid foundation of Part 1 by examining the American Revolution, the revivals of the early 1800s, the Civil War, Darwinism and the social gospel, twentieth century revivals and the trends that shape the world in which we minister now. There is a special focus on the spiritual impact of the 1960s and how it affects the Church today. This course is a needed tool in our arsenal of faith, helping us to understand the times so we can understand what we are called to do.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

► Acquaint students with the history of Christianity in America after the American Revolution.

► Foster and awareness of the sovereignty of God through a study of history.

COURSE ACADEMICS

This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
