COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a topical and exegetical introduction to 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus. Emphasis is given to the historical settings of each book, the relationship of Timothy and Titus to the Apostle Paul, the doctrinal issues addressed by the letters, issues regarding apostleship and apostles, and the role of elders in the Church.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
► To present a clear definition of Biblical leadership in the New Testament Church.
► To motivate leaders in the Body of Christ to maintain doctrinal integrity in their ministries.
► To share scriptural insights for those who aspire to church leadership.
COURSE ACADEMICS
This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
Your Instructor
A graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Kansas, Jim has founded and led churches in Kansas, West Virginia, and Texas. For eleven years, he was professor of New Testament Studies at Christ For the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas. For several years, he also served as Missions Director at Christ For the Nations which was founded by Gordon and Freda Lindsay.
Having ministered in over 40 nations, Jim serves the Body of Christ as a teaching apostle with a passion to see a mature Church and a victorious Kingdom of God in the earth. He resides in the Dallas area with his wife Jean.
