COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a verse-by-verse, church-by-church exegetical study of the seven messages of the Risen Christ to the churches of Asia in Revelation Chapters 2 and 3. Emphasis is placed upon the unique message of Christ to each church. Application of the principles for life today is stressed.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
► Understand and appreciate these letters and their message from Jesus.
► Examine the letters in their historical and theological context.
► Probe the permanent principles in each of these remarkable letter.
► Apply these principles to their lives today and explore ways to use them daily.
► Continue higher level studies of the Book of Revelation and the Bible as a whole as God’s Word of encouragement, instruction and edification.
COURSE ACADEMICS
This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
Your Instructor
Dr. Ronald E. Cottle is the Founder and President Emeritus of Christian Life School of Theology (CLST Global), the Founder and President Emeritus of the Apostolic Council of Transformational Servant-Leaders (ACTS) and the Founder and President of the Embassy College (EC).
He received a diploma in Theology from Southeastern Bible Institute, Lakeland, Florida, a B.A. in English-Religion, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, the M-Div. from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, and both the Ph.D. in Religion and the M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
