TRAINING FOR REIGNING II (OT201)
LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF DAVID
This course is a continuation of OT250 Training for Reigning Part I. We study the life of David as he became King of Israel and reigned for 33 years. Special emphasis is placed upon his dealings with Disappointment; Covenant; Insult; Seduction; Confrontation; Parental Failure; Unforgiveness; Disloyalty and Legacy. These pivotal issues shaped David’s rule. His failures inform us; his successes teach us how to become “a man after God’s Own heart.”
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
► Understand and appreciate David as a Servant leader in his time and a model of principles of leadership that will work today.
► Apply these principles to one’s own life and learn to use them daily.
► Develop character and behavior necessary to lead successfully in the Kingdom of God in the 21st century.
COURSE ACADEMICS
This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
