MAJOR PROPHETS I: (OT205)
A SURVEY OF ISAIAH, JEREMIAH AND EZEKIEL

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is part one of a two part study of the major prophets of the Old Testament, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. The books are considered chapter by chapter, verse by verse. The course provides a general understanding of the purpose and theme of each book and establishes a historical and theological comprehension of these important books of the Old Testament. Major emphasis is given to Isaiah and Jeremiah in this part of the two part study.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the course, the student will:

► Acquire a general knowledge of the chronology of the Major Prophets.

► Identify the Major Prophets and prominent characters, understanding how those characters fit into the major events of Israel's and Judah's history..

► Apply knowledge and understanding of the Major Prophets to further biblical study.

► Apply these relevant and inspiring books to his own Christian life and faith today.

COURSE ACADEMICS

This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.

Dr. Charles Gaulden is a full professor at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He holds a D.Min. degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. He has holds graduate degrees from Columbia Theological Seminary, Erskine Theological Seminary and Chandler School of Theology.

Among the many respected positions Dr. Gaulden has held are Pastor; Missions Board President; Student Ministries President, Christian Education Director of the Assemblies of God in South Carolina and Academic Dean for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.
